    Responsibilities

    Sales Trainer Job Duties:

    • Prepares new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process; developing individual coaching plans; providing resources and assistance
    • Determines training needs by performing side-by-side observations with sales representatives; observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports; conferring with sales managers.
    • Develops individual results by maintaining policy and procedure resources; providing coaching; conducting training sessions; developing outcome improvement resources.
    • Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Accomplishes sales training and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Qualifications

    Essential skills and experience

     

    • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • Minimum one-year customer service experience.
    • Previous Supervisory or management experience required.
    • Prior relevant experience in training or education.
    • Experience in sales training is preferred.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate high degree of professionalism, flexibility and integrity.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in and out of the classroom while contributing to overall team success.
    • Must demonstrate flexibility; must be able to adapt to changing business needs and the needs of the trainees.
    • Commitment to developing others and helping them to succeed.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and listening communication skills
    • Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite, Windows applications and Lotus Notes
